An Angel in the Pale Moonlight by Diana Bennett, Lucretia Stanhope
Angelina dreams of the joy dancing once brought her. Though the memories only serve to bring her sadness, now even the thought is frowned upon by the vampires in her nest. Especially her maker and lover, Trevon.

As a new nest master, Trevon walks a fine line of demanding and giving respect to the elders in his charge, who all question the consequences of his child’s persistent defiance.

Eric also has issues with love and an unhappy fledgling vampire when Angelina captures his eyes and heart.

Will a stolen dance be what tears apart the fragile hearts or will it mend them in unexpected ways?

Author's
I was delighted to find a copy of this short story on an old disk. It was written before my first novel, and published for a dear friend, who we’ll just call Eric. I laughed at some of the turns of phrase and hope anyone who happens across this also gets a bit of a giggle and perhaps remembers fondly their own Eric and that special dance that helped put things into perspective. I realize it’s not the best as far as storytelling style and whatnot, but I need this to see the light of day, or moon as it would be. In loving memory of Eric. I’m so tickled to have you on my shelf ‘forever.’ I’ll never forget our dance.
