Mr. Darcy's Cinderella: A Pride and Prejudice Variation
Jane Grix, April Floyd

When Elizabeth Bennet takes a position as companion to the wealthy widow Mrs. Hammond who lives in Lambton, she expects a quiet life in the countryside. But her world is turned upside down when Mrs. Hammond loans her to the ill Anne de Bourgh at the nearby Pemberley estate.
Assuming Anne's identity, Elizabeth is swept into a glamorous masquerade ball, where she catches the eye of the handsome but aloof Mr. Darcy. After a moonlit kiss, their forbidden passion seems destined to end at midnight.
In this Pride and Prejudice variation, enemies become lovers when masks and mistaken identities give desire a chance to conquer prejudice. Mr. Darcy’s Cinderella is a sweeping and romantic take on Jane Austen’s beloved classic.
