We were too dissimilar. I liked healthy food, and she ate cereal right out of the box. I liked a schedule, and she woke up late every damn day. I was tall, and she could fit in my pocket. Well, they weren’t great excuses, but they were all mine.
But she didn’t know the real me. Hell, I lied to her every second of the day just to keep her by my side. The threat against her was real.
But so was the fact that I was falling hard for her.
