But a magical infection is making the rounds after three hundred years of lying dormant, and unfortunately I'm just nonhuman enough to catch it--and even more unfortunately, it's the wolf who infects me. Which means I want to do things to him that don't involve handing him over to the man who hired me to hunt him. I'm caught between a vampire who wants to use me and a wolf who wants to destroy me, and believe me--it's not nearly as fun as it sounds.
