Take a Chance (Canyon Cove Love Stories) by Marie Soleil
After my wife left our family last year, my focus has been entirely on my two daughters and keeping them stable and happy. Learning how to do a bun for ballet was one of the first things on the list. It’s pretty clear that I don’t have time for romance.

Things get complicated when I run into my younger daughter’s third grade teacher, Elise, at trivia night right before school begins. Not only does she give me a run for my money at the game, we spend hours talking, realizing our common love for sci-fi movies and books. Come on, how many women are able to keep up a stimulating conversation about the merits of the different Dune adaptations?

And at the end of the night…we kiss.

This was a terrible idea.

Because the last thing I want to do is start up a romantic relationship with my daughter’s teacher. I don’t need complications, and neither do my girls.

But keeping her at an arm’s length is harder than it seems.Take a Chance is a single dad/teacher romantic comedy, with swoony kisses. It features some characters from the Canyon Cove Love Stories, but can be read as a standalone.
