With a conspiring friend, a territorial ex, and a handsome arch-nemesis... What could possibly go wrong?

Needing some time away from her hectic job, a mother that won’t stop nagging her about her ever-ticking biological clock, and the pain of just being dumped, Brooke escapes to Sprucewood, Colorado and finds herself staying in the Sugar Cookie Cottage. She considers herself lucky to snag one of the famed cottages just one week before Christmas. After all, the magical place helped, Noelle Carroll, her best friend from high school find her happily-ever-after, perhaps a little enchantment will rub off on Brooke as well and help shift her life around.

But when her arch-nemesis, the boy-next-door she’d loved to hate growing up suddenly shows up, claiming the cottage has been booked for him, things go from magical to stomach cramping. Even if he’s turned out to be the most attractive man she’s ever laid eyes on, there’s no way she’ll be willing to share the cottage with him. But when he insists they can be peaceable roomies, things get heated, and not in a good way. A giant snowstorm stranding them together definitely wasn’t what she had in mind either. But just as Brooke's feelings begin to shift for the man who’d gleefully tormented and teased her throughout her childhood and teen years, her ex shows up acting odd and territorial. Will Brooke survive the Christmas season, or will it end in disaster just like everything else in her life?
