A Wyoming homesteader family is terrorized by a large cattle rancher. A stranger comes to the family and asks for a drink of water. They invite him to supper, he helps them fence their property and fight off their nemesis The cattle rancher escalates the war and the stranger warns him to cease and desist, but he keeps going after the family until the stranger has no choice, but to eliminate the threat.
