Hope Prevails (The Spring City #3)
Marcella DiPaolo

It was just as she remembered. It took her a lot of work to get it cleaned up. But she was young, and she had a good back. She wasn’t afraid of hard work. She started with the house. She cleaned up the kitchen and one of the bedrooms. At least she had a bed to sleep in and a place to cook. Next, she fixed up the barn for her horse. Before long, the improvements started to show. She continued to dress as a man, so that she wasn’t bothered by the men working on the ranch next to hers.
Deputy Mike Stewart met Janna Hardesty on one of his runs checking on the ranches in the area. He wasn’t fooled into thinking she was a man. He did become her friend. He brought Mia Sanchez in to see her. She hadn’t seen Mia since she was a child. They renewed their friendship. The more Mike saw of Janna, the more he liked of the independent woman.
But Dolly wasn’t finished with Janna, nor were the men living next door. Mike has to help Janna stay safe and free. Even after learning about her past, Mike can’t help falling in love with the feisty woman who only wants to stand on her own two feet and live life as a free woman. Janna never thought after four years living in the brothel, that she would ever want to live with a man. Nor did she ever think that she would fall in love with a man like Mike. She thought that no man would ever want a woman like her once he learned of her past. But love has a way of looking past a woman’s flaws and her colored past.
