Social media is the devil.

Lucas just had to be at the bar that night. And he just had to knock into me while I was incognito, throwing around all kinds of crazy innuendoes like he had some kind of Spidey sense about the secret I was hiding from the world.
And of course, he had to tail me out of the bar when those ignorant jerkoffs took off after us with a Louisville Slugger. I told him to run, gave him every out to clear him from what was about to happen. But he stayed because he’s Mr. Peppy and Bright-Eyed Team Player.
I didn’t count on the cops showing up…or him trying to hide us by pressing his lips against mine in the darkness…or me loving the barrage of sensations that rippled through me at the unexpected assault.
