Alaska Dong has lived in subzero temperatures all of his life, far above the arctic circle and with an ancient tribe of Snowshifters.
They are essentially Elemental Magicals-Wizards who have been blessed or cursed (depending on your point of view) to carry on a tradition of being the caretakers of the COLD at the North Pole. Along with brothers Eirwen, Frost, Vento , Nevada, and Nicholas he patrols and works his magic to restore the melting edges of the only world he has ever known.
Because most of the Snowshifters are related in some way (marriages between relatives in not forbidden), Alaska has more than one challenge to face.
He has had a crush on his adopted little sister Icelyn since he was 13.
Not only is he tasked with figuring out how to reverse Global Warming, but he IS COMMANDED to visit the dreaded warmer “lower 48” in search of his Destined Mate.
