Blood of a Witch (Night City #1)
Morgan Rathge

This is book one in a completed five book series.
When twenty-eight year old Victoria Fairwood moves to Night City, she’s just excited to be moving in with her best friend as they get to participate in the human-vampire relations experiment known as the Night City Project, where everything will run on vampire time, and the vampires will live openly beside humans. Only problem, she quickly learns that her blood smells different to vampires, good different, for them at least. For Victoria her intoxicating scent means she’s stalked by vampires who struggle to hold back their bloodlust in this city that was meant as a place to prove vampires could live beside humans without preying on them. When the ancient vampire mayor of the city takes an interest in Victoria, she's stuck trying to figure out her growing feelings for him while she's already committed to another dangerously possessive younger vampire.

Lawrence:
I had almost given up hope, but finally, after five hundred years, I have found a witch, and not just any witch, I am certain that this is my witch. This woman is the witch Calista had told me I was born to serve all those centuries ago, when I was just a young vampire heartbroken to be losing my Queen, the witch who had given me eternal life… As I walk out the door, my heart, and my soul pendant immediately begin to ache with need. My whole body is rejecting the way I am walking away from the woman I have been destined for since the moment I became a vampire. All in due time, I tell myself. I’ve waited five hundred years for her, surely I can wait a few more days to see her again.
Victoria:
I sit at my easel staring at the portrait I’ve sketched out. I wasn’t really thinking when I started to work tonight, my hand just seemed to have a mind of its own. Somehow, I ended up sketching out Lawrence Beck’s likeness, my mind unable to stop thinking about our encounter... Weird. Very weird.. I just met Lawrence after all, and I have a boyfriend. I can’t be interested in another man, even if vampires are known for dating in groups rather than in pairs.
James:
I do not understand Lawrence Beck’s interest in my girlfriend. While the scent of Victoria's blood is unrivaled, I have spent the last three days confirming that he truly hasn’t consumed human blood in five hundred years, not even now that it is readily available in grocery stores and restaurants by the bottle. So why would he want her if her blood is of no interest? She is attractive, but there are many equally, and more attractive, human and vampire women in the city. So why does he want mine? I can’t have him, or any other vampire in the city, trying to take her from me. Victoria is mine. They may get to smell the sweet scent of her blood, but the taste of it, and the incredible power it seems to give, is all mine. Only mine.
Please Note: Book one is not a reverse harem, but the series is.
