Portrait of a Young Woman by Eric Filler
John Russo is a struggling writer who has taken a job as writer-in residence at Anderson College in Illinois. Needing some furniture, he stops at an estate sale, where he sees a painting of a gorgeous young woman. He takes it home only to find himself inside the painting the next night.

When John wakes up, he's beautiful Brigitte. The only way he can change back is to offer his soul--or that of another--as a sacrifice. Or he can stay a woman forever. When he meets a young woman named Dale, the idea to remain a woman starts to become a lot more acceptable.
