My parents sold my soul before I was born—for money, as cliched as it is. I was marked, soulless, before I took my first breath. I like to think I adapted nicely; life gets interesting when you inherit some magical powers from your soul’s owner and can’t die as a result.
The only problem was they never knew who they sold my soul to… except I learn, after meeting the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse, that’s not strictly true. As the world as I know it crumbles around me, the harsh truth comes to smack me in the face.
My demon master, the creature that owns my soul? Not a demon. Oh, no. I wouldn’t be as lucky as that.
Turns out he’s a pretty big player in this apocalypse, and I’m meant to stand by his side until the end of time.
Screw that. He can get in line with the angels, Greek gods, and other forces of nature trying to take all of humanity down. I’ll do whatever I can to protect my family and my friends, and I’ll do it for as long as I can.
