“Please have a seat Mr. Ethan,” Elizabeth Sally quietly told the man who had just entered her elementary classroom. Her heart fluttered. Her hands grew clammy. And Elizabeth instinctively told herself to calm down. Just breathe. Just breathe. Just breathe. But now, even breathing felt slightly difficult. Elizabeth motioned toward the adult sized chair situated near the front of her desk, indicating where Mr. Ethan could sit.

Guy Ethan wanted to snicker. Never in a million years would he ever think that he’d be in an elementary classroom, surrounded by tiny desks, lots of children’s books, and a young teacher who either looked deathly afraid of him or just didn’t want to be around him period.

Guy sat down. That uncomfortable feeling of being completely out of place continued to intensify, but Guy knew he was here for just one reason. And that one reason was a six year old little girl who he was awarded guardian of. While Elizabeth took a moment to shuffle some papers on her desk, Guy took his time and peered at the lady. And lady was a true and accurate description of the wholesome looking school teacher. Elizabeth Sally was every inch a lady.
