“Then, I guess you’re ready for the second course,” Pete said before turning towards the kitchen. Diana’s smile dropped for a moment. She had forgotten that the one plate was not the only part of the meal. While the chef was still gone, she let her hand drift over her stomach. It was full and being pinched slightly by the skirt she had picked out for today. She made sure her discomfort was not noticeable when Pete reentered with the next plate.
