This is a book about an assassin getting revenge. There is death and descriptions of death in this book. Also mentions of suicide, kidnapping, and holding hostage of a minor (the character is 17 at the start of the book but has a few flashbacks of being taken at 14), physical and psychological abuse, and mentions of, attempted, and implied sexual assault. Also, there is some strong language and detailed, consensual, sex scenes.
