The second sequel to A Slave's Story, creates a tale of misery and love on the old Andrews' Farm. Mahala, Cato, Nathaniel, and Bliss suffer in silence at the hands of the benevolent Marse Thomas Andrews. Bliss relates a tale of woe to Nathaniel, and he is powerless to help. A gun left in his hands by a passing abolitionist would either solve all their problems, or destroy their little family. Nathaniel must make hard decisions to save his childhood friend from further harm.
