Novacain: BWWM ROMANCE by Garnell Wallace
Nova Smith had always been too much of everything, but other people’s labels had never stopped her from going after what she wanted. She’d risen to the top of the beauty and fashion influencer industry despite being told she was too dark to give beauty advice and that she was too big for the straight-sized market and not big enough for the plus. She’d used her pear-shaped body, obsidian skin, and love of color to create her niche and build a platform around living on her own terms. Hungry for connection and success, she’d shared her life with her adoring fans including the man she’d thought she would spend her life with.

After being dumped by her plastic surgeon fiancé mere weeks before her wedding, the public humiliation forced her out of the spotlight to a little cabin in the Swedish countryside where she could lick her wounds in peace. Somewhere on the road from insanity to sanctuary, she got lost and ended up at the home of a stranger just before a storm rolled in. Remy was unlike anyone she’d ever met. Living alone deep in the woods, he rarely used the internet and didn't own a TV, or a smartphone.

He quickly became the balm her wounded soul needed. Was meeting this seemingly wonderful man the reason she’d had so much taken away, or was she opening herself up to get hurt? Was Remy’s introverted nature the reason he lived alone in the woods, or was there something he didn’t tell her? As she gets closer to him during a freak winter storm, Nova fears she might have jumped from the frying pan straight into the fire, and not even the storm outside would be able to stop the inferno when her idyllic life fell apart once again

The last thing Remy Sutherland wanted was a woman intruding into his life, especially a London influencer, whatever the hell that was. He had enough heart left not to point Nova in the right direction and send her on her way during a storm so he could wallow in his misery in peace. In just one day she brought more color and life into his world and he realized that he liked the interruption she’d created. Her smile eased the pain that had been his constant companion like some sexy-ass Novocaine. She made him forget what he was, and that was a big mistake, for him, and especially for Nova.
