Splintered Savior (The Savior Complex #2)
Ssëa McNicoll

I had foolishly assumed that just because I was The Chosen One, prophesized to save the world, that it meant that things were going to move that way in a more-or-less linear fashion.
Jokes on me, because not only is my best friend, the one who was supposed to be by my side till the very end now a ghost who can't remember which way is up, but just trying to obtain a meeting with Council of Supernaturals has proven to be next to impossible. Not to mention the fact that Jasper, the vampiric professor, who is unreasonable on a good day and loathsome on a bad, won't seem to leave me alone. The god of death also seems to be hanging around for some reason, but if Jasper is an unreasonable cad, then trying to make sense of Death and his actions is like trying to see through a brick wall.
Every time we meet with outside forces things seem to escalate, and I begin to wonder if the path that was chosen for me is the one I really want to be on.
