The Riches of a Life Well-Lived: A Pride & Prejudice Variation
Elizabeth Frerichs

On Tuesday, November 19th, 1811, Wickham—the wretch who nearly eloped with Darcy’s younger sister—arrives in Hertfordshire. When Darcy encounters Wickham in Meryton, he hopes it is for the last time, even though fate seems to throw them together far too often for his liking. To his extreme displeasure, he’s forced to encounter the man over and over as Tuesday follows Tuesday.
Providence, in the form of a mysterious old woman, informs him that, far from escaping Wickham, he is destined to gain him as a brother by marriage and remain tied to Wickham for all of his days. The old woman gives him the opportunity to change his destiny by looping time until he can free himself and save his family.
Over the course of his many Tuesdays, Darcy learns a great deal about himself and Miss Elizabeth. He also comes to realize that he would like to take more than just freedom from Wickham with him into Wednesday and that the risks inherent in repeating Tuesday are greater than he could have imagined.
Can Darcy ever free himself from Wickham and keep the man out of his family once and for all?
