Where The River Begins by Sophie Sinclair
Dr. Juniper Thorton never imagined she’d move back to her small hometown of Greyson Gap, but when the opportunity to open her own family therapy practice presented itself, she decided it was time to return and get some answers about what happened to her birth mom. But Junie quickly gets distracted by the wacky townsfolk who seek her help and the sexy fire chief who reminds her of a boy she once knew.

Eddie Barker, Greyson Gap’s fire chief and most eligible bachelor, has been living a quiet life in the rural town where his grandfather lived. A furniture builder at heart, he prefers crafting wood into beautiful objects instead of looking for a potential love interest. But then Junie Thorton shows back up in town, and he feels a flicker of flame reignite in his heart after being dormant for so long. When Eddie’s past rolls in and mentally crushes him, he has to figure out if he can risk his heart for Junie and put his trauma finally to rest.

But once Junie discovers the answers she’s been so desperately seeking about her birth mom, it triggers fears in Eddie he’s kept long buried. Junie must decide whether her family, her new practice, and Eddie are worth hanging on to, or return to Atlanta and put Greyson Gap in her rearview mirror for good.
