Valentine's Verdict
Rose Betancourt, Rose Pressey

When I agreed to represent Theo Laurent pro bono, it was strictly business. The man needed legal help—his dream chocolate shop was on the verge of being crushed by a greedy landlord, and I had always been a sucker for a good underdog story (and okay, maybe for chocolate too).
What I wasn’t prepared for? The way Theo looked at me like I was something more than just his attorney. Or how his quiet charm and heart-melting smile made my brain short-circuit every time we were in the same room. Definitely didn’t sign up for the whole butterflies and blushing situation.
But things took a turn for the worse when the landlord got personal—and dangerous. Suddenly, it wasn't just about saving Theo’s shop anymore. It was about staying safe, keeping my heart out of the mix, and trying not to fall for the sweet, frustrating, completely irresistible chocolatier who was making it harder every day.
What could possibly go wrong?
