To save the soul of King Orrin, Limeria must unravel the plot to destroy his kingdom. To find where the king's soul has been taken, she seeks the aid of her nemesis and patron Bargol, now a merchant of swampy Vaneera. Bargol knows the sorcerer who can help her find the king's soul and demands a high price indeed from the beautiful princess for that secret. She must swear her submission to him and agree to take Bargol's dark elf assassin Ixana with her on her quest. Reluctantly, Limeria agrees.
In the swamps of Vaneera, she will face other threats in her efforts to find the ancient sorcerer Scholozar. There is the ominous threat of the dark elf and, worse, the amphibian menace of the torrads. These primitive swamp dwellers crave the likes of Limeria and Ixana for breeding. Their venomous secretions can make escaping their captivity all but impossible.
Will Limeria reach Scholozar and find out where the enemies of Eldheim have taken the king's soul? Will she be betrayed by the dark elf assassin? Or will she succumb to the depraved hunger of the torrads?
