Synopsis

Peter Blood, an Irish soldier and surgeon in England during the 1680s, is falsely accused of treason and sentenced to serve 10 years as an indentured slave in the Caribbean. He manages a daring escape aboard a stolen vessel and goes on to become one of the boldest and most feared pirates on the high seas and the Spanish Main.

But then he loses his heart to the lovely Arabella and discovers that love is a much harder battle to win. Captain Blood is a potent blend of swashbuckling exploits, romance, and social commentary all rolled into a classic adventure story.
