Zion Perkins. The undefeated heavy weight boxing champ. The world knows him as Steel. A black man from Miami, Florida with a lot of confidence, spunk, and talent. He has everything going well for him in life, until the day that he lost his wife, Sapphire. Sapphire tragically lost her life after she was ran off the highway, leaving Zion to become a widower. The term ‘spin’ is used throughout this book in relation to love. After losing Sapphire, Zion made a vow to himself, that he would never spin again.

Toni McCall. Toni is the woman to be in Miami. She has it going on from her career as a college English professor, she’s a best selling author, and she’s into real estate as well. With her status and success, she hasn’t been too successful in dating. She’s very particular about what she wants, and isn’t willing to settle. One look at Zion, and she’s already ready to plan a future for them. The two eventually meet, and although the attraction is there, Zion is afraid to love again. He’s willing to do everything that he can to not spin, but Toni isn’t your average woman. There’s many great traits about her that’ll be worth that spin.
