From An Omega To A Hunter: Fated Mates Second Chance Alpha by Victoria Davey
"You are too weak; I cannot accept you as a mate, as you would only bring shame to yourself and this pack," my mate stated. My companion rejected me on my eighteenth birthday, and the following day, my parents supported his decision. To be candid, I found it unbearable; however, despite my tears, I understood the rationale behind his actions. Every pack requires a trial or test that the alpha's mate must undertake to become the Luna of the pack. Although it may seem irrational, this is the decree instituted by the alpha king following the battle, during which many alphas lost their mates because to their inability to protect themselves or their packs. In essence, without strength and knowledge, I cannot assume the role of Luna. Being the alpha's rejected mate was an unpleasant experience for me, particularly as I anticipated a competition to select the most beautiful she-wolf while I remained at home in despair. Consequently, I resolved to depart from the pack and leave everyone behind. Subsequently, I discovered myself transformed into something I had never a hunter, and not merely any hunter, but an assassin hunter. I had never encountered a werewolf in the role of a hunter, let alone an omega; most would have ridiculed the notion, yet I am now a figure of fear. After a four-year absence, I was dispatched on a mission to my former pack, a location I never anticipated revisiting. Yet, here I was, encountering the individuals I had regarded as family and the land I once considered home.
