Different Pucking Worlds by Lina George
Marcus Little hails from the great state of Texas. For him, playing hockey at the collegiate level is his chance to start crafting a life that's much bigger than he ever dreamed of. But as a Black guy in a sport that's predominantly white, sometimes Marcus feels out of place. It's not easy being different, after all.

Grace Keller is a change-maker in her own right. She leads the Women's Club at Wildwood University and is razor-focused on elevating all women—even if it means supporting Wildwood's biggest the Somerset Seagulls. Grace feels obligated to support the Seagulls' newest team member (a girl! Can you believe it?), and she doesn't care about crossing enemy lines.

Marcus has eyed Grace across campus for years, but when he sees Grace campaigning in support of the enemy, he comes up with a unique bet. It's kind of ambiguous—and it may be destined to fail—but it's the one idea he's come up with to finally grab Grace Keller's attention. (And maybe, with any luck, score a date.)

Marcus knows there's a chance he might lose this bet. If he does, it will be embarrassing to say the least. But if he wins? Marcus can hardly handle the thought of it. A chance with Grace, as different as they each might be, would be a dream come true.

This short read is a contemporary new adult hockey romance featuring an interracial couple with a BM/WW pairing.
