Gape on Patrol (Gape's Adventures #3)

"Gape on Patrol" is a humoristic and gay novel about a free-spirited, adventurous good looking blonde guy Gape from the Netherlands. He has recently discovered that he is gay but he is still rather unexperienced with other men.
Gape had his first experiences with other men in an establishment called "The Open Bar" in Amsterdam where no taboos exist and gay men meet each other to have sex.

During his days Gape is a police officer in training. He is stationed in Police Station the Unicorn in the James Wattstraat in the East of Amsterdam and works under the famous Inspector Bullet who asks a lot of his men and is not a
racist but hates anything that doesn't look like a strong dutch heterosexual man.

After a meeting with Bullet Gape is ordered to go to the Dam Square for surveillance operations the whole day because
of the huge amount of reported thefts there by the visiting tourists.

Gape asks Bullet to be supplied with a gun for this operation, but after laughing his head of, Bullet supplies him with the usual police baton and taser and orders him to go.

Gape has no driver's license and rides with his co-worker Gaby to the Dam Square to start his surveillance operations.
Walking around there he a group of young men, laughing and jostling each other, knocking over a street vendor's cart, sending colorful scarfs and tchotchkes flying in every direction.

He tries to catch the men but they fly away in all directions and he has to return empty-handed to the vendor, an elderly woman, who stood there looking on in horror to all the mess around her.

He meets two men there, Steve and the Rat, who ask for information about the location of the "Prince's Canal" where the ship of a friend of these men is moored. Because it is difficult to explain and the location of the ship is on his route
Gape decides to accompany the two men mostly because he really likes the very attractive looking Steve.

When they arrive at the ship Steve and the Rat show him the very impressive ship. They take a drink together, which
might have been a little bit doctored, and after that things happen on that boat that are really delicious but should
absolutely not be part of serious police operations.
