THE SILVER LINK an emotional and uplifting Scottish romance by Gwen Kirkwood
Can love overcome a family feud in the wilds of Scotland?

Elspeth Elliot, the last of the Elliots of Everanlea, is heartbroken when her beloved uncle suddenly passes, leaving her the sole heir to the family estate. Torn between duty and desire, she returns to Scotland, determined to preserve Everanlea’s legacy, despite her boyfriend Hamish’s plea to move to France.

But when the insufferably arrogant Robin Armstrong, whose family has feuded with the Elliots for generations, suddenly arrives — trouble follows in his wake. Elspeth can’t forget the way Robin humiliated her years ago, nor his dark, captivating eyes.

Complicating matters further, Elspeth’s grandmother has hired a new manager, the charming but mysterious Howard Elliot. Though Howard is handsome and persuasive, Elspeth grows suspicious of his late nights and the stench of alcohol that follows him.

As Elspeth struggles to save Everanlea, Robin steps in to help with the sheep. Though she’s drawn to him, she believes his advances are just another ploy for her land.

Will Elspeth protect Everanlea and her heart, or will she be forced to let go of everything she's ever loved?

A second chance romance set in 1940s Scotland that will have readers swooning. Perfect for fans of Julie Garwood, Tania Crosse, Dilly Court, Rosie Goodwin and Carole Llewellyn.

THE SETTING
Everanlea, an ancient sheep farm perched on the edge of the Scottish borderlands, is a place where time seems to stand still. The sprawling estate is surrounded by rugged hills, mist-covered valleys, and endless moors. The land, both beautiful and unforgiving, reflects the endurance of the Elliot family, who have lived and worked there for generations. The estate is marked by old stone walls, winding tracks, and the meandering River Esk. Its remote location offers a sense of solitude. With the death of her uncle, Elspeth finds herself responsible for a place that is both her heritage and her burden . .
