My Raining Life
Teegan Loy
Spending the summer at the lake was a regular ritual, but this year things are changing. My parents headed off on a summer vacation and my siblings have their own lives. My best friend is finishing her student teaching, so I’m going solo.
My quiet summer lasted a day, when it’s interrupted by the loud sounds of tennis balls and swearing. The tennis player is hot but turns out to be rude and very angry. After a brief encounter, I want to push him in the lake.
I’d always dreamed of a summer romance, instead I have to deal with an obnoxious neighbor.

Spending the summer at the lake wasn’t my idea of fun. My life had been turned upside down and I was currently in the process of deciding if tennis was worth my time and effort. Now I wasn’t sure if anything was worth my time.
When I busted my neighbor watching me practice, I had to make sure he wasn’t posting anything online.
This was turning out to be the worst summer of my life. It would take a miracle to turn the rain to sunshine.
