A Christmas Kiss: A Christmas in Baublesville Sweet Romance (Christmas in Baublesville, Sweet and Clean Romance #5)
Honey Stone
Miles, the weary travel journalist who helps Tessa keep the Comfort and Joy Inn running, is a perfect foil - practical, grounded, and quietly vulnerable. Their connection builds through humour, teamwork and shared disasters (including a broken oven on Christmas Day!) rather than grand gestures, which makes it all the more believable.
I loved the vivid the scent of mulled wine, flickering candles, and snow piling against the windows while the guests squabble and laugh. It felt like being part of a living inn, not a staged romance. The writing is clean, the humour subtle, and the emotional payoff deeply satisfying.
If you love small-town Christmas stories with heart, charm and a touch of chaos, this one belongs on your holiday reading list. I finished it smiling.
