When Cameron Douglass dies chasing yet another adrenaline rush, he leaves his young widow, Holly, devastated. Luckily, he's put in charge of the Scottish Spirits of Christmas, and assigns two spirits of the past, present, and future to show Holly a way forward, helping these spirits learn something themselves as well. He's not surprised that they don't get along at first, but he is surprised to find that when it's finally time to let Holly go, it's not as easy as he'd hoped.
