Aaron Holliman establishes himself in the community of Deep Springs, Texas as the pastor of the town's only church. He and his wife, Evelyn, navigate various changes in the lives of their adult children while ministering to those in the congregation who are thrust into unexpected grief. When their only son, Thomas, faces alarming health issues, a crisis develops that leads to the revealing of a long-kept secret, ultimately affecting other community members as well. New endeavors to further the growth of the small town also produce obstacles that need to be overcome for new relationships to flourish. Ultimately, the Hollimans, along with those dear to them, learn that the sovereign hand of God has been amazingly at work over the span of many years, and the realization leads them to a deeper appreciation for their Redeemer and a greater desire to offer Him sincere worship.
