Gift of the Water Sprite
Michael Leamy
The search for gold brought the Sinclairs westward. The search for gold drove Charles Witherspoon, fugitive, eastward to the same region. The legend of wealth recorded by tribal people on aged leather, and translated to Spanish by a padre at a mission drew the professor and his daughter on a quest for treasure hidden in an obscure trove. The desperate effort to clear his name drove Charlie. Memories of mythology surfaced in Charlie’s mind when he spotted a naked figure on a boulder by the pool. A water sprite?
Romance pushed Charlie and Abbie toward each other, but the possibility of a sheriff finding Charlie built a barrier between them. “I won’t have you be a prison widow, Honey.” Nothing short of exoneration would allow them to wed.
Join the two on a journey of faith and integrity as they bless and are blessed.
