“What’s wrong?” I asked, their silence making me nervous. “What’s going on?”
The doctor leaned forward. His voice softened. “Ivy, try to stay calm. You were in an accident a few days ago. Thanksgiving was seven months ago. Are you sure you don’t remember anything? Is anyone here familiar?”
My jaw dropped, and I felt queasy. “What?! Seven months ago?” How could I lose so much time? It couldn’t be true. I’d prove it. “My memory is fine. I remember Hank. And Jalyn.”
The imposing Greek God with the forest green eyes stepped forward. “What about me?” His voice was strong, deep, and painfully coddling.
I searched my mind but drew a blank. “No. Who are you?”
He eyed me sadly. “I’m Titus.”
That name didn’t mean anything to me. I shrugged. “I don’t know you.”
“Ivy.” The doctor reached out and patted my hand supportively. “Titus is your husband.”
