Clarien must earn her title of knight by passing a trial. If she succeeds, she could become someone worthy of loving Dreysel. But instead of completing knightly tasks to pass the test, Clarien is stuck helping citizens with everyday problems.
Dreysel is more than she appears to be. She questions whether the title of ‘knight’ is as important as people think it is. She wants Clarien to see the true worth in what she does, but Dreysel can only urge Clarien to follow her heart. Hopefully, in more ways than one.
The tasks Clarien busies herself with may not be worthy of singing ballads about, but helping people is what a knight should do. As time runs out for the trial, Clarien must choose between earning her title or remaining the person Dreysel loves by helping those in need.
