When my grandmother died, she left me her beloved sunflower farm.
And now Ryder Blackwell wants to destroy it.

He blusters into town with a BMW and a plan to build fugly apartments next to my grandmother's sunflower farm, but I won't let big Manhattan money ruin the charm of this place.

He sends me gift baskets to win my favor. I push him into the stream. He buys an overpriced rooster to grease the mayor on my behalf. I deny the easement he so desperately needs. He strips down to his skivvies to save my historic water wheel and–

But when he needs to take care of urgent business in Manhattan, my begrudging fondness for him turns to longing.
