We Met in a Blizzard by Dick Parker
Grady is on a bus heading to a new life and new job when a blizzard stops them in a small Montana town. When he notices a kid is still on the bus hours later as he is in a motel waiting the storm out he carried the nearly frozen boy into his room. He finds out the kid is eighteen but he looks much younger and they soon become friends and them much more, while stranded in the blizzard.
