Visiting Council members come to the Knight Walker Pack to test out their new Human Liaison Committee. Rosemary knows that their family has been asked to assess The Committee in order to gauge its possible effectiveness, when and if they are discovered by more than the occasional human.
The Committee is made up of two humans, two enforcers, and two turned humans, who happen to be mated to the enforcers.
Rose has no interest in attending the meeting, but duty calls.
As the Council heads introduce the six-member committee, one at a time, Rose is hit with an impossible scenario. One of the enforcers announced is her Fated mate. The problem is that he is already mated.
