Ari comes to Big Machine with dwindling funds and worse prospects. Running from a shadowy past that could destroy his life, he knows the best thing to do is to keep his head down and not make waves.

The only issue with this plan is Jack. Cold, controlled, unemotional Jack. Ari can't seem to stay away from his enigmatic boss, pushing boundaries that are better left untested and risking everything in the process.

Jack shouldn't hire him. Shouldn't want him. Definitely shouldn't bend every professional boundary he's set. But from the moment Ari walks into Big Machine, Jack is lost. What starts as a way to blow off steam becomes something messier, more dangerous. A push and pull where surrender feels like safety and control feels like care.

Then the past catches up. When threats turn to violence and everything Ari's built starts to burn, he has to make an impossible choice: run like he always has, or trust Jack enough to finally stand his ground.
