Teia wants to tend to her last patient and go home, but when Ifrio, Teia’s favourite knight, is unwell, going home is the last thing on her mind.
To monitor Ifrio’s condition, Teia casts a spell to mirror the knight’s heartbeat. Now with the ability to feel the speed it beats at in her own chest, she notices a peculiar pattern whenever they’re close.
Teia seeks to uncover the cause of the knight’s symptoms of a fast heartbeat, flushed cheeks, and the avoidance of eye contact. Symptoms that appear only when Teia is around. Perhaps Teia was wrong to think that Ifrio disliked her.
MIRRORED HEARTBEAT is a short sapphic fantasy romance that is part of the Knights of Yuven series. These stories are set in the same world as the Students of Starfall series and can be read in any order.
