My last boss blacklisted me in the entertainment industry. So when I get the offer of a lifetime in a dark, sweaty club at 2am, I take it and don’t look back. Being an assistant in the entertainment industry might not be my dream job, but it’ll pay the bills.
Then I meet my new boss, Kai Kobayashi, a man more irritating than a spilled box of rusty nails in the dark. He's rude, ruthless, and his schedule is so packed I barely have time to breathe.

When we run into my former boss at a charity event, things escalate, and it becomes clear that he's not finished with me. Too bad my new boss is a bit territorial. One moment of weakness later, and my clothes are on the floor--right next to his. But when he woke up, I was already gone from his bed.
I've never been attracted to men like Kai. But something about him feels safe. And I haven't felt that in a very long time.
