Testing the Billionaire’s Wife
Scarlett K
People liked to believe it was strong, something that held relationships together through years of marriage, success, and shared memories. But those who lived in the highest circles of wealth and power understood something different.
Trust could be shaken by a single moment of temptation.
In the quiet financial district of Manhattan, inside a glass tower that housed investment firms and private banking offices, a man sat alone behind a polished desk staring at a folder that had just been placed in front of him.
His name was Daniel Whitmore.
Billionaire investor.
Tech founder.
One of the most respected businessmen in the city.
And a husband who was beginning to question something he had never doubted before.
Across from him sat a woman dressed in a sharp black suit. Her posture was calm, professional, and completely confident.
The name on her card read
The Temptation Agency.
Daniel tapped his fingers lightly against the edge of the folder.
“So you’re telling me this is real,” he said.
The woman nodded.
“Our clients come to us when they need answers they cannot find themselves.”
Daniel leaned back in his chair.
“Answers about loyalty.”
“Yes.”
“And you send someone to seduce their partner.”
The woman’s expression remained neutral.
“We create situations that reveal the truth.”
Daniel looked toward the large windows behind his desk where the New York skyline stretched endlessly toward the horizon.
“Sounds dangerous.”
“It can be.”
Daniel turned back toward her.
“And you’ve done this before.”
“Many times.”
The kind of man who knew exactly how to enter a room and command attention without raising his voice.
“Our best operative,” she said calmly.
Daniel studied the photographs carefully.
“What’s his name?”
“Adrian Vale.”
Daniel closed the folder slowly.
“And you’re certain he can do this.”
The woman smiled faintly.
“He doesn’t force anything.”
“He simply creates temptation.”
Daniel stood and walked slowly toward the window.
Far below, the city moved with its usual rhythm—traffic lights changing, taxis weaving through the streets, people hurrying between buildings without noticing the decisions being made above them.
His voice became quieter.
“My wife…”
He paused for a moment.
“…is very beautiful.”
“That usually makes the test more interesting.”
Daniel nodded slowly.
“Her name is Victoria Whitmore.”
Socialite.
Former model.
The kind of woman magazines loved photographing at charity events and luxury parties.
They had been married six years.
From the outside their life looked perfect.
But recently something had begun to feel different.
Late nights.
New friends.
Longer trips without him.
