And that choice had consequences.
Every move he made after that pulled him further from her. The walls started closing in. Loyalty got shaky. Everything he built started feeling like it was catching up to him all at once. So he did the only thing he knew how to do — he pushed Indeeyah away while keeping her close enough to protect her. Confusing her. Hurting her. Not because he didn't know how he felt but because how he felt was the exact thing putting a target on her back.
Losing her was something he was willing to survive.
Burying her wasn't.
Indeeyah thought he was distant. Guarded. She had no idea he was protecting her and her children from a life none of them asked to be part of. When the truth finally came out and they were all under one roof she could see how heavy it really was. This was bigger than both of them now. Her kids were involved. Things were dangerous. Survival wasn't just a word anymore.
It was the only thing that mattered.
Because when bullets start flying and everything they built alone and together explodes around them there is no turning back. The question was never just where do we stand.
The harder question was whether they'd survive long enough to answer it.
So Where Do We Stand Part 2 is the finale. Love, silence, hurt, pain, losses, and growth — nothing is the same. But somehow, for the first time, it's all starting to make sense.
