Prince Saerus has been in love since he was ten years old—which would be cute if it wasn’t so demoralizing. He’s set to become king in less than a week, and no matter how hard he tries to be excited, he just can’t manage it. How could he? The distance between himself and Aimeric, the court’s most popular Troubadour, is already wide enough as it is.
