She stood like that for about ten minutes before something moved out of the corner of her eye. She turned to see Caspian walking from the house with only a pair of pants, which hung dangerously low on his hips, covering him. His mane of hair glowed in the moonlight as he walked into the open. Darklings moved out of his way as he walked. Caspian stopped not even twenty feet from her window. She knew that he could not see her, so she did not try to hide herself. She watched as Caspian scented the air drawing it deep into his lungs before releasing it. His muscles twitch as he scanned his surrounds. He reminded her of a wild animal searching for prey. She sucked in a startled breath when he turned to look at her. She watched as he scented the air once more, but more deeply this time. Caspian’s eyes seemed to roll back in his head before they locked back with the window. A smile formed on his perfect lips as he stepped towards her. Her heart almost stopped when his body blocked the moonlight making her visible to him. Caspian’s eyes flashed making them slightly glow. He purred and placed his hand on the glass. She looked at it for a moment before placing her hand on top of his. His hand dwarfed her’s. She felt so small compared to him, it was funny. She had never felt so insecure about herself in any way before this demon had come into her life. less

Her breath quickened as its eyes locked with hers across the shallow pond. She looked closer she saw that it was not a dog, but a fox, the size of which would make a Great Dane look small in comparison. It had piercing yellow eyes and nine furry tails whipping around behind it. She gulped as its ears twitched toward her. Letting out a quiet whine, it began to walk through the pond, which at its deepest point was only to its knee. She slowly began backing away from it until her back hit the hard wide trunk of the willow. She wanted to scream, to call out for her brother, but she knew he wouldn’t hear her. Even if he could, he would not make it to her in time. Her eyes never left the fox’s as it pulled itself onto dry land and continued toward her. She let out a small whimper when she realized that it was only a few paces away from her. Hearing this it stopped and tilted its head side ways, giving a small wine itself. She stared into its eyes and instead of seeing a wild, savage glint there like all wild animals have, she saw a calm and almost humane look that only humans expressed. They both stared at each other, studying each move the other one made and how the other reacted when they would move. less

He watched as her eyes widened then quickly dropped to the floor as if not wanting him to know how his voice effected her. He saw Viper take a deep breath before moving out of the cage of his arms. His fox growled as the Concun stepped towards their mate, but for once he silenced it. His mate walked passed the Concun without even a second glance and stepped towards the glowing flames of the fire. He was afraid that his touch would cause her more pain. He knew that he was not what she wanted. He could see it every time her eyes touched him. His mate looked passed him trying to find the man he once was. He wanted to be the one she wanted. He did not want her to look through him any longer. He did not want to fight a person that he could not even remember. “What do I do?” he asked. “Change,” whimpered his fox. less
