Twelve elves left the North Pole to be free of all things Christmas and have been living together for decades. They have gone without their mates for years, but when the first of the twelve finds his, the others have hope of finding theirs.
Chiquita is an often socially awkward but caring elf. He hates Christmas trees and that he may not be able to save his wonderful mate from the pain he has endured physically and mentally.
Alexi Domitrivich is a former teacher struggling with a life-threatening condition. Recently this condition has gotten much worse, but Chiquita could finally be the person to give him hope for the future and a life filled with love.
Chiquita will stop at nothing to save his mate, but will his efforts be enough? Will Alexi have to accept his approaching death and leave behind the love he could have had with Chiquita?
