There’s no good reason, as fucking always, just, he’s letting the water sluice the bubbles off his shoulders and suddenly he can hear the guy’s voice, picture those thick, stubby fingers and smell diesel. Somehow the guy had smelled of diesel even after he’d taken the mandatory shower.
