It takes both of them to handle the garden, the house, and her. Brad realizes that he will do anything to take care of her, and that means sharing. He accepts the importance of it and trusts Kirk to help him.
With dangerous creatures, native plants, and the unknown, there is little time for jealousy. Together, though, they can handle anything the planet throws their way.
