Rose's Thorn is a twisted retelling of Alice in Wonderland. Not for the faint hearted.

Alice Wonders never thought she’d fall in lust with her own stepbrother, but the more she tries to fight her attraction, the worse it gets. When she is caught in the crossfire of an ancient curse, she meets a mysterious prince who promises to satisfy her every unfulfilled carnal desire. Alice realizes this may be the only way she’ll ever stop wanting the one man she will never let herself have, but the price is steep. Can she really spend the rest of her life locked away in a fairytale castle?

Length: 13,000 words

Excerpt:
A shadowy limb reached for her waist. It snaked around her torso and yanked her into its embrace. Alice opened her mouth to scream, but shadows smothered her cry. There was nothing to grab, nothing to push away, yet the darkness was tangible enough to hold her captive.

The shadows around her pulsed in time to her own frantic heartbeat. For a long time, they simply held her still until her body stopped shaking.

“What are you?” she whispered.

Shadows darkened, and Alice felt something breathe against the side of her neck. A pressure slid down her back and in between her legs until it swelled against the most intimate part of her. Panic sent her heart racing again. Each beat of her heart caused the shadows to throb against her body.

Alice forgot her fear. Sweat ran down the space between her breasts as shadows pulsed around her clit. Her body melted into the shadow’s embrace. Alice moaned softly.

A man chuckled against her ear. “Your body pleases me, human.”

Alice yelped as shadows flooded away from her to coalesce into the figure of a man. The outline of his form remained blurred.

“Who are you?” Alice asked.

“I am the master of Rosemawr,” the man said. “My magic is fueled by the lust of Rosemawr’s inhabitants.”

“Brigitta says I can leave whenever I want to.”

“That is correct.”

“What if I demand to go home now?”

“Are you sure? For the remainder of your life, you’ll want for nothing. Rosemawr will satisfy every unfulfilled carnal desire you’ve ever had and teach you of ones you have yet to imagine. Could you really turn your back on that?”

“Sex isn’t everything.”

The man chuckled. “You’ve never met me.”
